Method
Prepare water between 70º – 80° C. Add one half teaspoon (approx. 1 – 1.5 grams) of matcha per 70ml – 90ml of water. Whisk back and forth until a creamy froth coats the surface. Use soft, filtered water for best results.
Description
With the passing of dawn comes a gentle hour. A sweeping buttery light replaces hues of pink and orange. An early-spring field glows bright in contrast to the boundless rows of evergreen macadamias. Their dense shadows cling to the dampness of a mist which has long since passed. Tasselled buds softly stir with the breeze like reticent wind-chimes. A hopeful web, strung between the lowest blooms, has captured nothing but dewdrops – an exquisite prize for all but the orb weaver. For a few fated minutes, fleeting as the sunrise itself, the ascending sunbeams transform the web into a tapestry of mirror-like gems, gilded with light. Dawn is a friend to the muses but morning begrudges no latecomers, with plentiful wonders awaiting those arriving in their own time.
