Method
Prepare water to 100° C. Add one teaspoon of leaves per 500ml. Steep for 2 minutes minimum
Description
Departing the shores of north east Africa, a sturdy wooden crate transports rich rooibos tea – making its way across the spice trail. As with all travellers, it succumbed to influences of the journey. A once simple tea is now gilded with souvenirs of its voyage; harboured spices disclose exotic tales from every rest-stop. Once sold, the concluding chapters of its story divert with each pot subsequently brewed – be it a morning ritual or fragrant lullaby of heady spices as prelude to deep slumber.
