Description
Darjeeling First Flush
Thick fog glacially roams across the tea gardens of northern India, carrying with it the scent of misty forests and Himalayan orchids. Every so often the fog will part and a small clearing is transformed in amber hues. There’s just enough time for a pot of first flush while soaking in the morning sun. Evaporating dewdrops refract the morning light upon rambling crops of wildflowers. The rising floral mist mingles with the steaming pot as soft notes of jasmine and rose are curiously declared with every sip. Just as soon as it came, the sun is lost and the fog resumes. All lies dormant in an emerald shadow but for a luminescent pot of First Flush Darjeeling tea. Glowing like candlelight, its golden liquor captured the fleeting morning sun, distilling ephemeral warmth for posterity.
