Description
In an ancient province alongside mountains lies a trail enveloped by towering trees. Seeking nourishment from the remains of an ashen river, their long and tangled roots emerge from the earth and cling to the gully’s edge. Woven baskets suspend from the branches above, filled with today’s harvest of wild tea leaves. A bamboo ladder leans against a twisted trunk – an invitation for ascension. Departing the cool leafy bed of the grove, each step climbed towards the canopy reveals glimpses of a steamy summer sky. The leaves, touched by sunlight, twist and turn upon themselves – tethered to an echo of their ancestral roots below.
